Welcome to Schoolzar

We started Schoolzar because education in Nigeria deserves better tools. Not tools borrowed from somewhere else and awkwardly adapted, but tools built with a clear understanding of how our schools actually run, how our students actually learn, and how our teachers, administrators, and parents actually work together to get children through the school year. That's the gap Schoolzar exists to close.

What Schoolzar Is

Schoolzar is an EdTech platform built around two products that work together to support a school from the classroom to the front office.

The first is Schoolzar SMS, our school management system. It's the operational backbone — the place where admissions, attendance, fees, timetables, report cards, and day-to-day school administration come together in one system instead of being scattered across spreadsheets, paper registers, and group chats. Running a school involves a lot of moving parts, and Schoolzar SMS is built to make those parts move together instead of against each other.

The second is Schoolzar Learn, our AI-powered exam prep platform. At its center is Zara, an AI tutor designed to meet students where they are — helping them prepare for exams, work through difficult topics, and build the kind of study habits that actually lead to better results, not just more hours spent staring at a textbook.

Together, these two products reflect something we believe strongly: that school management and student learning shouldn't be treated as separate problems solved by separate tools. They're connected, and Schoolzar is built to treat them that way.

Why We're Building This

Every school we've spoken with while building Schoolzar has its own story — its own pressures, its own workarounds, its own hard-won systems for keeping things running. We've paid attention to those stories. Schoolzar isn't a generic platform we're hoping schools will adjust to; it's being shaped by the realities of the schools it's meant to serve.

That shows up in the details. It's why data efficiency and thoughtful infrastructure choices matter to us as much as the features themselves — schools need software that's reliable and affordable to run, not just impressive in a demo. And it's why Zara, our AI tutor, is designed to actually teach and adapt, rather than just answer questions.
